Overview:

Match Marketing partnered with Limelight to develop a seamless and interactive VIP registration experience for the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) Red Carpet Arrival Event. Traditionally reliant on costly, time-consuming custom-built websites and manual guest list management, RBC sought a modernized, digital-first solution. The goal was to create an integrated platform that would streamline event management, enhance user experience, and drive AVION membership engagement.

Objective:

To design and implement a comprehensive digital solution that facilitates seamless registration, personalized event communication, onsite check-in, and real-time data monitoring for RBC’s TIFF Red Carpet Arrival Event. The platform needed to support branding consistency, increase attendee engagement, and improve data collection for better campaign management and return on investment (ROI) assessment.

Solution:

Collaborating closely with RBC and Match Marketing, I developed a multi-page registration website that provided information on each Red Carpet Arrival event and AVION membership benefits. The platform allowed users to:

  • Register for their preferred Red Carpet Arrival event with a guest.

  • Receive automated, personalized email communications with check-in instructions and event details.

  • Access an integrated onsite guest list application for streamlined check-in at the red carpet event.

  • Participate in an interactive survey for prize opportunities and capture branded photos with movie stars via the Limelight photo feature.

All collected data was centralized in a visual backend database, enabling RBC and Match Marketing to monitor new leads and track guest engagement in real time. This digital transformation eliminated previous inefficiencies, significantly enhancing the overall event experience.

Results:

  • Improved Efficiency: Eliminated manual guest list processes, allowing real-time check-in and streamlined event management.

  • Enhanced Engagement: Personalized communications and interactive onsite features increased attendee participation and AVION membership interest.

  • Real-Time Data Insights: RBC and Match Marketing could track attendee interactions, measure event success, and optimize future marketing efforts.

  • Cost Savings & Autonomy: Designed a custom web template within the Limelight Platform, enabling RBC and Match Marketing to make updates independently, reducing reliance on third-party vendors.
