Duties:
Planned and built a custom onsite application with triggered email communications to support RBC's Olympic Training Ground sponsorship program.
Created and sourced all digital assets, including exercise tutorials, player stats, event information, and branded overlays used within the app and email communications.
Designed an intuitive UI/UX that aligned with RBC's bold and dynamic brand identity, ensuring seamless interaction for event participants.
Developed an internal management system that allowed RBC's internal teams to easily update and create new content without requiring external support, streamlining content management across events.
Overview:
The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) sought a comprehensive solution for their annual Olympic Training Ground sponsorship program, which had previously relied on a fragmented combination of online resources and in-branch pen-and-paper registration. With events held across the country, RBC needed a streamlined, turn-key solution to enhance event coordination, capture valuable user data, and deliver a VIP experience to attendees. The goal was to simplify the registration and engagement process while providing RBC with real-time insights into event performance.
Objective:
The primary objective was to develop a simple, user-friendly application that would:
Enable attendees to register, interact, and engage with the event seamlessly.
Provide personalized experiences through custom photo features and triggered email communications.
Allow RBC to gather data from all events nationwide in one centralized dashboard.
Ensure that the app and experience matched RBC's bold, dynamic brand identity and were easy to manage without ongoing third-party support.
Solution:
As the Professional Services Manager at Limelight Platform, I led the development of a custom app using creative assets from the previous year’s events. The app featured:
Exercise tutorials, player stats, and information on Olympic athletes, allowing users to interact with the content and track their progress.
A custom photo feature where attendees could use branded overlays to capture images and share on social media, driving engagement and event promotion.
An easy-to-navigate interface that allowed participants to input their stats as they progressed through the event and compete for the winning title.
Triggered email communications with personalized, contextual messages that prompted attendees to share their experiences on social media.
A backend visual dashboard integrated with Limelight Platform that captured all user data from across the events. This allowed RBC to view and analyze data in real-time, comparing the success of different events and elements of the campaign.
Results:
The solution provided RBC with a streamlined, centralized system for managing their Olympic Training Ground program across multiple events and locations.
The user-friendly app helped enhance the attendee experience, with personalized features that drove engagement and social sharing.
RBC gained valuable insights into campaign performance via the centralized data dashboard, enabling them to assess the effectiveness of different campaign elements and improve future initiatives.
